Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

I got into a vebal arguement with my girlfriend, and to keep thing from getting out of control, I left my apt. and went to a buddies house. Two police cars showed up at my buddies house, and asked me, "what happened, tonight?" I answered, "Nothing." Never the less I was placed in hand cuffs and arrested for battery. Does Law Enforcement have a duty to read you, your Miranda rights? I was not read mine, by the way.

If you were arrested, then your Miranda rights should be read to you. However, if you were just questioned, then no. However, I suspect you were read your rights and were arrested due to your violent behavior towards your girlfriend.
