at what age in the state of floirda can a child say if he/she wants to go to the other parent's house for visitaion?

There is no fixed age in Florida where the child's preferences can be directly communicated to the Court. Court's generally shy away from having the child make such a decision or express an opinion on which parent should have primary residential responsiblity. If this is an issue in a Court proceeding, many jobs will appoint a Guardian Ad Litem. (Attorney for child)This person will often indicate the child's wishes in a report to the Court.
