Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Hi, I wanted to know if i need to have a divorce case in process in order to obtain legal documents on child support and visitations? I am a mother of a two year old and currently have been separated for a year and a half. How can i go about getting a fair amount on paper without involving attorney fees that i cannot afford and without having to wait months? Thank you for your help!

No. You can ask for the court to address support and time sharing (visitation) without filing the divorce. However, this does not stop your husband from filing the divorce one you make such a request.

I suggest yo schedule at least a consultation with an attorney as these issues are not easily handled pro se (without an attorney)

You can petition for support and time sharing if you want. Most cases involve the divorce and all other components. Contact my office for free consultation 727-446-7659.
