How does a warrant issued in one state get served in another?

What kind of warrant? Do you mean a criminal warrant? Those usually get served when a person is pulled over for a speeding ticket, though sometimes the FBI will serve them.

You posted in the family law forum. Do you mean a family law warrant? Those usually don't get served unless they are for returning children to another state, in which case a parent goes to the pick-up state with the warrnt and gives it to the police there, who will give the child to the parent with the order to obtain custody.
