Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
My ex wife won't abide by the rules of our mediation agreement. We are supposed to see a mediator for adjusting monthly child support if I have a significant change in my salary/income. I have had a substantial change since Sept 2008 but paid her in full up until Feb 2009. Since then I have given her portions because I can not afford the full anymore. She refused to see the mediator and instead hired a lawyer and I received a Notice of Hearing for MOTION FOR CIVIL/ENFORCEMENT. I can't afford a lawyer so can I object to the hearing since she refused to go to a mediator as the divorce decree states?
