Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

wife changed address for Gov't disability check

My wife left the state with my 2 children. I receive a monthly retirement disability check from the Navy. This month I did not receive my check so I call the VA and my wife had called the VA and had someone call pretending to be me and changed the address so that the check would go to her. What legal action can I take against her. I want to add that she left the state with my children against my wishes and won't even let me talk to them.

Thanks

Re: wife changed address for Gov't disability check

You can report her to the local sheriff. A parent taking children out of state with the intention to deny acccess to the other parent is committing criminal abduction. Same goes for the check(s). If she actually cashes any, she may be subject to paying you three times the amount should you sue her civilly for that. Good luck.
