Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
My ex wife and I divorced in the state of Florida. The child support section on the divorce does not state when I have to stop paying. I have two children the oldest just turned 18 on April 14, 2010. Does that mean that I stop paying then or do I have to wait until he is out of school in May 2010. He did not graduate HS because he is missing one credit does that mean I have to continue paying until he graduates? Also the divorce does not stipulate the amount of support for each child it just states 800 a month for both. Is it ok to assume that it is 400 per child?

Florida usually holds that until a child turns 18 or graduates at the age of 19. So, will the child be going back to school for the l credit - perhaps summer school? The division is not even for each child - it is the total for both and will possibly remain the same for one. NEVER assume anything.
