Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My wife had filed divorce in Hawaii and I live in Calfornia. The divorce was finalized in Hawaii and now my ex moved to Florida with my daughter. I do not pay alimony, but I do pay child support $780/month. Now my work is laying me off in California and I need to get child support changed until I I find a new job.

I am assuming I need to get our divorce papers filed in Florida so I can change the child support.

Is correct? Yes or No

How do I go about doing this?

How can I change the child support?

Can you give contact information?

My funds will be limited, so I can not afford the price of lawer, so is there a way I can do this with out a lawer?

Thanks

Robert

YOu need to have the child support order domesticated in the court where the child is now located or you may be able to have it domesticated in California depending on the residency requirement (how long has ex been in Florida). Once the order is domesticated (meaning really moved from Hawaii to Florida ) then you need to file a modification of support - file a financial affidavit, set a hearing and inform the ex (certified mail or sheriff service).
