Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

my wife moved out and said she wants a divorce. we split the 3 kids almost evenly but they are with me more and they sleep here 5 nights a week. I drop them off when I go to work and pick them up after I get home. They stay with her if she has a night off. I make twice as much as her. I let her take whatever she wanted from the house that I still rent. Is this abandonment or if she gets an attorney will I owe alimony. or child support?

Alimony depends on the length of the marriage and the comparative financial situations of the parties. If you have been married for 7 years or more, you might have a significant exposure to alimony.

Forget about "abandonment" as an issue in your case.

Try to keep things amicable..

As much as possible, use email or texts to preserve communications.

Schedule an in-office consultation with an experienced family law attorney asap.

I have offices in Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties, and practice throughout the Greater Tampa Bay Area.

If you have the kids most of the time she will owe you child support and yes you at the same time will owe her money. So overall money will flow in her direction. Use of a lawyer is recommended.
