Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My ex wife and I purchased a house in 1993,divorced in 2001.The court never awarded anyone sole ownership of the property. My children are all grown and now I want my name off the mortgage. What are my options she been late a couple time and it bringing down my credit.

YOu need to read your court papers - if the house was to be held until the children were grown and then sold and the proc eeds divided - that would be in your papers. Are you sure it is not. If truly nothing is stated then I would reopen your case and file a Petition to Amend the Dissolution of Divorce for Equitable Distribution.
