Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
Ex Wife
I recently had a run in with my ex wife in regards to my son. She left him on my door step and said she was going out of town. She also leaves him alone most of the day after school. He is 15 years old. She has also hit him. I would like to search for full custody and call the Children's Services so that he can leave the home. My question, is if I file for full custody, can I get my son? My ex wife is a ''nut.''

Try and good luck at your hearing.
Re: Ex Wife
The standard for changing custody from one parent to another is a high one. Leaving a 15-year-old at home alone is not very serious. Leaving him at your house without notice is more serious, but probably not enough to cause a custody change. Hitting him may be considered serious, but it would depend on the circumstances. I'm not sure what you mean by "nut," but mental imbalance can be a good reason to change custody.
You should speak with a family lawyer.
