Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My wife and I are separating. I want to move to FLorida and get out with as few problems as possible. She claims that since she is "hostile spouse" that I cannot take anything from the house. What are my rights? I want to protect myself. Thank you.

You'd have to ask a lawyer in the state you are divorcing in. If you are going to wait until you move to Florida and obtain residency, then file for divorce in Florida, Florida law says you can take whatever you want, so long as you don't take something she owned before you got married. Realize, however, that under Florida law, everything purchased after you got married will probably be split evenly.
