Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Will child support take my taxes?

I've only received to letters from them the first was to contact them to see if I needed to pay child support. My DCF case manager told me that this was just a formality and not to worry. Also the custodial guardian told us not to worry because she didn't want the help. She did apply for wic however I do not believe she got it. The second letter was notifying me that I owe money and is asking for the last two years of income. I don't have a job and really need at least some of my taxes. If they are going to take them is their a way to make sure I can at least get some of it so that I have some money to fix my car and get a job?

You are battling two Gestapo agencies, DCF and IRS. Both will lie and misrepresent to the Payor. If Mom (Custonian) received any public funds the agency will go after you or any tax return. The custodian can say all they want not to bother you but the agency that gave her the money is the complaining the party.
