Willingly giving custody

my sister gave me her 1 yr old daughter she is now living in florida and i live here in michigan she wants togive me full custody of her because she needs professionall help. what will the process be to get full custody of her?

There probably is some father who may have some say in things so you cannot simply get "custody". You are not a parent to get custody. You can get guardianship. Go to the local probate court and file a petition to have you appointed guardian. There will be a hearing. William S. Stern
