Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
My x girl friend called the police on me knowing that I had her in my possession. We did fall asleep and i did not hear my phone. She then said that I can not see the child until paternity is proven. So I got a birth certificate where clearly it states that I'm the father. Now she says her attorney and the sherrif said that I have no legal rights to my daughter. Is this true in Florida. And of course I can't afford as an attorney

The birth certificate is not enough you have to go to court to establish your legal rights.
