Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My soon to be X is part owner in a company, we have 5 kids and alot of property. We've been seperated for 2 years. Unsure if we would divorce or reconcile. We have since decided to divorce. His income has gone down and our realestate, due to economy. Im sure he is eager to divorce now due to this. My question is, will courts ever go back further then 1 or 2 years to determine whats fair? Also, he claims he would only need to pay me support on his W2 net income, when our income taxes show a lot more income due to company stocks and other stuff, but he says thats not cash and it doesn't count towards support because it gets rolled back into company.

Child support is based on the income of both parties. Under the circumstances use the last three years of tax returns to make that determination - depending on the years you have been married you may be entitled to alimony. The income of the company will also be a factor in determining your share of the assets.
