Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

X-wife steals cheats and now demands

In a divorce in 1994 the wife got way more than the half she was entitled to . But is shock and depression from proceddings i agreed to whatever it took. Now years later and still owing her she stated that she stole mass ammounts of money before the divorce. She also had a lein put on my business and now her lawyer is demanding payment in full or she will foreclose on the business. The question is can she take away my only means of support? is there a way to determine if the divorce settlement was unfair or a reveiw of the facts as they are today. (since i didnt know about the admitted theft of money at the time?) HELP!

stuck but not hopeless

The judgment is probably not assailable at this late time. However you may be able to request the court to lower your obligations based upon the fraud committed. Your best bet is to get your papers together and make an appointment with an attorney. The cost of the consultation should be reasonable, especially when compared to the burdens you are faced with.
