Diverticulitis and FMLA
Is diverticulitis covered by the FMLA?

Re: Diverticulitis and FMLA
The law does not cover specific diseases but rather those that require hospitalization or three or more days of incapacity plus medical treatment, among other things.
There are also other eligibility guidelines for both the employee and the employer who must have at least 50 employees to come under the law.
You can check out www.dol.gov for the FMLA regulations and lots of information, or call the US DOL for help.
Good luck.
