Legal Question in Medical Leave in Florida

employment termination

I understand that there is an Act that does not allow emplpyers to terminate an employee because of a major family health problem. My daughter was in an accident and in ICU for 3 weeks at an out of town hospital, and my employer terminated me afer 1 week.

FMLA, Family Medical Leave Act, does not apply to all employers or employees.
