Legal Question in Medical Leave in Florida

FL law everything is split 50/50, I believe.

It is my understanding that FL law, assets are split 50/50.

I would like to know if an inheritance (money) from my parents estate would apply in this 50/50 split?

You have posted this in the wrong section (I think you thought that Family and Medical Leave Act applied to Family Law). Please repost in the family law section if there is one.

I can tell you, though, that Florida does not automatically split assets. There are a variety of factors that apply to who gets what property, depending on the contribution each spouse made to obtaining the property. You would have to review the specific facts surrounding the inheritance with a family law attorney to get a good opinion. If you repost, try to include as many facts as possible. For example, did your spouse help support your parents in anyway - financially, physically or emotionally, such that the inheritance might be partially due to his/her efforts?

Good luck.
