Legal Question in Medical Leave in Florida

limit on fmla

Is there a limit on the number of times an employee may request FMLA. If the condition is permanent can the employee request FMLA each year if they meet the required hours of work. My husband is disabled and I am the sole caregiver and this requires that I take off work during the year for weekly therapy, doctor appt etc. I requested FMLA for the past two years and I am considering requested it again this year and I am concerned about how my employer will react with this being the 3rd year requesting FMLA.

No. Every 12 months you're basically entitled to FMLA leave. Contact me at [email protected] and we can discuss in detail what options you have.

Best, Matthew
