Legal Question in Medical Leave in Florida

manager/corporate

When I was hired at Colonial Grand at Palma Sola (an apartment complex) I was a little over 5 months pregnant. The manager the hired in me knew that I was pregnant and then about a month later she quit and a new manager came in. She also knew that I was pregnant. She told me on multiple occocasions in front of other employees to that I would be coming back to work. So when my 6 weeks were up I asked when I could come back and she informed that I no longer had a job b/c she didnt have to hold it b/c I havent been there a full calander year. My question is can she fire me, even though I was promised a job when I was ready to come back?

Re: manager/corporate

Is not FMLA violation because you were not there one year. Could be pregnancy discrimination if they allowed other disabled people to return to work after disability leave. Might want to file complaint with EEOC to address your complaints. Feel free to call or e-mail with questions.
