Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida
As Of May, 10 2010, almost a month after the oil spill approximately, My asthma has been severe, and according to the affects of Benzene exposure listed online, I am also suffering other symptoms such as fatigue, dizziness, and trouble breathing during the day. Can I, being in the Tampa Bay, Florida area take civil action against BP because I feel that these problems are being caused by the oil spill in the Gulf?

In any case like this, the person suing has to prove causation. It would be interesting to note if any reliable sources are reporting that the levels here in Tampa are higher as a result of the oil spill (especially as of 5/10). But, just feeling like it was caused by the oil spill is not enough. Consult with your doctor about your health concerns right away, and then see a Florida attorney for legal advice. Regards,
