Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida
3 Months w/mold at major hotel-is this why we're always sick?
Me, my husband, our 3 yr old son and 3 yr old dog have been staying at a major brand extended-stay hotel. We are constantly ill. Sinus problems, headaches, rashes, the skin on my face is peeling (and not from tanning). We have no energy, our dog sneezes and sleeps 10 hrs a day. My husband and I have been plagued w/constant diahrrhea. When I req. the A/C filter be changed it was immed. rushed out. Their is obv. black mold growing on carpet @ A/C. Moved to another room, same problem. When staff changed filter blanket was found inside. Have pics of mold and saved vacuumed contents. Much more info...

Could be. Only a medical provider and a testing lab could confirm this. Welcome to Florida.

The rise of mold litigation has brought with it a proliferation of mold experts pontificating on what, if any, health effects or disease are caused by mold exposure. The Centers for Disease Control in recent congressional testimony attempted to set forth some basic general findings upon which it contends there is general agreement. Science has estimated that there are between 50,000 and 250,000 species of fungi, while fewer than 200 of these have been described as possible causes of human infection. There are more than 1,000 types of indoor molds that have been identified in homes throughout the U.S. Molds reproduce by making spores, which because of their size and light weight are easily spread throughout the indoor and outdoor air.
