Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

I am 16 years old and i made the unfortunate mistake of attempting to steal and i deeply regret it at a CVS (i had never stolen before and this is there first time seeing me there) i have no criminal history and they decided to charge my mom for civil reimbursement, they promised it would not go on my permanent record. Can they still send me to jail, will it go on my record, and can they seek more punishment in my case?

This is a criminal law question. You need a criminal law attorney, so you should repost this under criminal. Your question about jail and your record falls under criminal, not civil, even though (apparently) the store agreed to not press criminal charges.

You are a minor and your records are considered privileged. You should still consult a crimianl lawyer in your area.
