accident

a person intentionally merged into my lane and car after I told her to wait, trapping me in my car, do I have the right to be compensated beyond the damages made to my car? i.e., when my license was ran it came back suspended since january and my car was towed and impounded until I can get things straight at dmv TUESDAY morning. I am missing time from work, and my cousin will have to rent a car when she gets here tomorrow from out of state.

Re: accident

If she was negligent and caused the accident, you would be entitled to the cost to fix your car, the cost of a rental or replacement while it is being fixed (sometimes called loss of use). You may also be entitled to lost wages for the time you take off or need to take off to get the car fixed. You did not mention any injury, so I assume you were not hurt.
