Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Thank you all for any help in advance. My question is this, I am 32 yrs old and at 30 was a first time offender. I pawned an item for my neighbors grandson and said item was stolen. I was charged with false verification of ownership while he was charged with a more serious offense. I was on an 18 month probation and couldnt pay the 112 dollars per month and and after 18 months with no problem was told by my officer I would have to turn myself in and go back on probation and during the very last meeting I missed it to work to make payments for my apartment.

Now officers have shown up at my mothers house and searched it at 330 in the morning. What jail time am I looking at and how much trouble am I in. I've never been in trouble before and I am scared out of my mind and just want this to be over. Are there any pother places I could seek advice. Thabk you in advance.

Hello Josua,

You need to post this in Criminal Law category. When police are searching houses at 3:30 AM, this is not for a civil misdemeanor, this is because they believe a crime has been committed, or they would not have been able to obtain a warrant. Jail time also means there is crime involved. You will get better information from an attorney who practices criminal law.
