My ex bought me an Ipad for Christmas. Recently we had an arguement and he broke it over the edge of his bed, cracking it. I called the police and had a report filed. He told her in the report he accidently dropped it. Do I have a chance to take it to civil court and get my Ipad fixed?

I often tell my clients that anybody may sue anyone else, at any time, and for any reason.
It really comes down to dollars and cents. Frankly you may spend a great amount of time and money with the court's filing fees and time away from work to appear in court to argue your case. You will likely spend and lose more money than it would cost to simply have it fixed in the first place.
If you decide to have the ipad fixed and sue your ex for the cost, be sure to keep a photo of the damaged ipad, a copy of your receipt to fix the ipad, and a copy of the police report.
