Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

my boyfriend got a call yesterday from a company called central legal network saying someone has filled a complaint for a restraining order and he needed to call to resolve the matter with this firm. The question I have is if it is a restraining order should it have been filed in the courts? What is the proccess to file one

yes, these are filed with the court. You can call the court in the county where he resides. If someone has filed, or is thinking about filing, I suspect that your boyfriend already knows who and why.
