Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida
Broken Mirror
I approached a bar in Ft. Laud. to order drinks for me and my friends. All of a sudden glass was everywhere and it was from a mirror right by the bar where I was standing. Glass fell on me and on my face so I walked out of the bar wiping off the glass that was on me. I then noticed two of the bouncers running towards me saying that I have to go back and pay for the glass. They were harrassing me saying that there were cameras there and that people there saw me break the glass. I was getting really mad since I had no clue who broke the glass and the only reason I walked out of the bar was to clean myself from glass. So the police came and asked me questions pertaining to the incident. The bouncers continued to say that it was me and that they have witnesses, even though the officer told me that the bouncers could not name any of the witnesses. Finally, the officer took down a report with my information and said the owner of the bar could press charges if he wants. What happens next? I have no idea who broke it and why I was involved boggles me. Would I need to get a lawyer in this matter?

Re: Broken Mirror
I doubt they will pursue a claim without witnesses.
