Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida
My car was stolen, based on what the police told me I believe that they handled the situation very poorly and could have prevented this from happening. They told me that they basically watched the theft, followed the vehicle out of the parling lot, followed it into the next town, stopping at every red light, and stopped following when the chief radio'ed them to call it off, letting the men get away. My car was found an hour later in a ditch, with significant damage. My car was like new, I bought it new two years ago and maintained it very well, now the value will be lowered drastically. I want compensation for I feel that this could have been stopped and the men could have been aprehended.

Sorry, you it is unlikely that you can sue the police for this or that you would prevail. Might try to go speak with them to get an explanation, but it is a longshot. If you had coverage, be sure to report it to your carrier.
