Check cashed but never recieved goods

We live in Fl, we purchased collectibles from a private seller who lives in NY. He cashed the check and never sent the goods. We requested our money back (about 6k) and he keeps sending checks that are non-negotiable. What do we do now?

You will have to sue in NY.
