Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Civil Court Case Search

My husband's ''best friend'' caused them to have a motorcycle accident but 8 months later claims that it's not his fault and is suing my husband for all his medical debt and ''loss of fun in life''.

I have a feeling that this isn't his first lawsuit. How can I check where we live plus his previous two addresses to verify that he has made frivilous law suits in the past? Will I have to pay? I can use the local courthouse internet to see the lawsuits that are currently open now, but I can't check his past.

I know how to check the federal court system but not all of the nation's state court records. You'd have to check specifically the courts where he has lived. But remember that plaintiffs normally have to file where the defendant is living. So in litigation you have to ask him to tell you about all his past suits and then hope he leaves out some you find.

The easiest way would be to hire a records search company - do a google search and you will find lots of them online.
