Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Can I collect the money or get a judgement

After 20 years an ex-boyfriend found me - he lives in New Jersey - I live in Florida. We were going back and forth to see each other and I was planning on moving to New Jersey in January. Three weeks before I was supposed to move there (December 2002, I had already quit my job and had my house packed) he decided to go back to his ex-wife and left me holding the bag. In November of 2002 he asked me to charge airline tickets on my charge card so he and his daughter could come visit - it was an oral agreement that he would pay it off. In December he went back to the ex-wife. I also had a ticket to see him (in December 2002) that I had to cancel and lost that money. I have never seen a penny from him for the tickets that I charged for him in November ($420.00)He tells me he'll send some money but never does. I would like to know what I can do to try and recover this money and if I can go after him for the money I lost on my airline ticket from December ($210.00)? and can I put a judgement on him if he doesn't pay me? How do I go about doing all of this? Thanks

Re: Can I collect the money or get a judgement

You would have to sue him in Small Calim Court where he lives. I doubt it would be worth the trouble.
