Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

collect on note from family member

My stepson owes us over 100,000.00 but sent my husband only a note dated 12/10/04 stating he owes the money and it was not a gift and would repay when he settles on his house (being built) by March 2005. To date no money no interest and I don't know if there is a house. We live in Florida he lives in Va. Thank you

You will need to sue him if you cannot get satisfactory answers. I can't believe you lent him 100K with nothing more that, in essence, a written IOU!
