Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida
I had a company (LLC) that was disolved a couple of years ago. Yellow pages are trying to sue me for a contract that I cancelled prior to it running. The problem is that I have no proof of this but the yellow pages didn't run until after the company had already been closed down so I didn't benefit from this ad monitarily. I was hoping to defend myself due to lack of funds but they are insisting on my having counsel. I am not understanding why I can't do this because they are going after me personally. Please advise.
