Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida
Contesting Title Transfer
My Mom put her daughter on the deed to the house one year to the day after my Dad killed himself. My Mom now wants to sell the house but my sister refuses. This sister has refused to sign the paper that will get her off the deed.
Just this weekend, my Mom asked me and another sibling to look into contesting the title transfer as she was whacked when she put my sister on the deed. I know that a person can give the land to whom ever they want or to disinherit ect...but this is not quite that. Any advice? Thank you.

Re: Contesting Title Transfer
An action in partition (to force a sale) is the remedy.
