Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

what if you ask a convicted felon if he has been convicted and how many times and the answers are false as documented in public records. I unknowingly hired a thief who stole many things and I am going after him in civil court.

If the former employee lied on his employment application about a criminal record, this gives you automatic grounds to instantly fire the employee. It was your responsibility as the employer to verify his information was correct before you hired him.

You are doing the right thing by seeking recourse in civil court. You should seek a lawyer's advice in order to receive the most optimal results.
