Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Crimes committed by Condo President

The President of our Condo Association did not disclose her relationship with our landscaper. She is his cousin. It has come to light that he received copies of all bids from her and copied and underbid everyone. He is presently the contracted landscaper, bug sprayer and irrigation specialist and gets paid for all three contracts every month. The community is outraged. We have tried to throw her off the Board but our Management Company told us we can only demote her to a director.

Is there any grievance committee for this type of thing? Can we file a complaint against her?

Please help.

Re: Crimes committed by Condo President

Sounds like you have several alternatives. However,

an attorney would need to reveiw the declaration

of covenants in order to give you advice. You need

to make an appointment with a real estate attorney

in your area and have them review those documents and

Florida statutes in order to give you advice.
