When and how is a church libel and held accountable for defamation of character, false representation, undue influence, where no whistlblower Protection exist for members?

Libel and slander can be difficult issues to explain in simple paragraphs. In general, you need a false statement that is published to third parties and that causes harm. Opinions are generally not actionable.
