daughter wants car back
we live in Clearwater, Florida. My daughter is 31. she met A guy on the My Space. They started to date and got serious. He is an imigrant from Cuba and just got his ''green card''. lives with his family n tampa
asked her to buy him A car to drive. He found the car at a dealership in Tampa. He had the dealer call my daughter at work and get her debit car #. She gave it to him and hung up thinking her boyfriend would put the car in both there names but, he did not he put the car in his name it was around $5,000.00. She has proof of the transaction on her bank statement.
A few months after that he broke up w/ her. can she get the car back? he has title says car is his.

You do have the possility to get your interest in the car back or get it titled in your name. It will not be easy, however. A court might consider that your payment was a gift and therefore is not retrieveable.
I strongly suggest that you meet with an attorney to discuss your options. A suit in county court might be proper.
