Defamation/Slander
My ex-husband's fiance tracked me
down & asked if he had ever stolen
money from me and I said ''yes''. His
attorney just sent me a letter stating
that he is suing me for defamation &
slander. Does he have a case?

Probably not. Even if he could establish that you published defamatory statements to third parties, he must prove that he has been damaged. Truth is also a complete defense. You should consult with an attorney and respond to the demand letter to attempt to avoid the expense of litigation.
