Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida
Deferred Compensation
My employer has been instructed to take money out of my salary, and put it into my deferred compensation plan. However, last year because of clerical error, they did not take the maximum amount I requested. Due to my grandmothers illness, I did not realize this mistake until later in the year. Unfortunately, I owed additional federal taxes in 2007. My employer has admitted to this mistake. Due I have any recourse in suing my employer for the additional federal taxes due?

Re: Deferred Compensation
No. You should have noticed what was and was not being taken out of your check. Also, you had the use of the additional money during the year.
