Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Detinue???

I was evicted from my Aunt and Uncle's residence. They gathered some of my belongings and put them at the edge of their property. I retrieved those items with a Sherriff's deputy escort. However there is over $7500.00 worth of my property that remains. How can I pursue civil litigation and notification

Re: Detinue???

This question has already been answered (for Virginia). File the warrant in detinue at the general district court. They have the necessary papers there in the clerk's office.

If the property is in Florida, then you would likely use a similar process but the cause of action likely has a different name and, of course, the procedures would be determined and controlled by Florida law.
