Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

Dur-a-shield contract

I purchased a roof coating for for my house roof in 2005. It came with a 7 year guarantee. It was supposed to keep the roof waterproofed and the roof wouldn't get mold on it.

It is all moldy now, and man said they were out of business. He wouldnt refund any of my money. Then, he opened another business under a different name in the same town. Now he is selling a window coating to keep windows clean. Is there anything I can do?

Maybe. You still may be able to collect from the old business, from the guy personally, or, in rare circumstances, from the guy's new business. You should talk to a lawyer, who can research the guy's corporate status.
