Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida
One of our employee's was arrested and convicted for theft. She never revealed this information to us as the owners of a business. Is an employee supposed to inform us that she was on parole or had been arrested.

If one of your questions during her pre-employment screening was about her criminal history, and it wasn't expunged/sealed, then she should have informed you. If you are considering firing the employee for this history, absent an employment agreement stating otherwise, you are free to do so. However, if she hasn't had any problems on the job thus far it may not be in your best interest.
