Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

To explain as concisely as possible, let's put it this way, two college students share an apartment with assigned bedrooms, and (like teenage girls will) they switch bedrooms, but do not change names on contract at rental office. Dad hears about this, ask rental office to correct it, and they assure him they will. upon move out one girl has no damage, the other has $300 damage. The later admits it is her responsibility but refuses to pay because rental office is going only by contract, which was never corrected as promised and list that room as being the other girl's. Now, although everyone knows about this, and agrees that the bill is the other girls, technically, her name is not contracted for that room so she says too bad, and the girl with no damage is the one being pursued.

Just as a side note, this girl even attempted to commit fraud in written form to get out of paying her bill at one point, and also agreed in written form that she would pay her bill. Also, rental office refuses any liability, or even to purse correct girl, even though they failed to correct this problem after we ask them to.

Help please?

Easiest thing to do is to threaten to sue her is she does not pay and sue her if she does not in small claims court.
