Do the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure eliminate the possibility of being suprised by evidence by evidence at trial, and, is the "Perry Mason dramatic moment a thing of the past?

The Perry Mason dramatic moment does not exist. That was made for television. Kind of like the Dukes of Hazard.
