Gate damage
I pushed an access gate open and when it did not open fully to gain access to my home. The management company knew the gate was broken 11 hours before I got there and failed to act. Can they hold he responsible for the damage to the gate.

Yes. You are responsible for the damage that you caused. You knew it was not working too.
