Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida
I hired a contractor,paid by internet check, bank error on address, check returned, called contractor to come get check, contractor sued me small claims. papers had mispelled my name and got the company name wrong. called contractor day before court and told him of error. he ignored me. Came next day for check. Sueing me again for court costs still has wrong names. What should I do?

Did you attend the pretrial conference? What happened with the case? Are you saying that he has now filed a new suit simply for court costs? That is improper. Court costs are an element of damages, not an independent cause of action.
If you have to go to court, explain to the judge with the documents what you said here. You should be fine.
